Meditation ~ 15 Minutes to Serenity

I try to meditate on a daily basis. Most days, I accomplish this goal =) Meditating allows me to take time to forget about my daily stressors. Today, I decided to create a meditation CD/mp3 for others to use to incorporate meditation into their lives.

Here are a few pointers for effective meditation:

Sit quietly for several minutes, either cross-legged on the floor or on a chair (without leaning against the back of the chair). Be sure that your spine is erect but not to the point where it's uncomfortable. Fold your hands gently together in your lap or place your palms down on your knees. As you sit in a meditating posture, sense your weight being supported by the floor or chair and allow the whole sensation of your body to enter your awareness and come to life.

  3. It sounds wonderful. My main stress now is financial, but I may be back to try out a full CD when I have extra $.

  4. I usually get my meditation in while I'm soaking in the tub...The bathroom is pretty much the only quiet place in my house.

  5. That's true. Along with regular exercise, you must have some meditation practice to gain a control over your weight and to loose weight faster. It also has a perfect postive
    effect on our body stress level.
